Yamaha tried to make the 2010 R6 different on both a technical and visual aspect. However, not very many changes have been made to this motorbike since it released several years ago. Although this may seem like a bad thing, the R6 is such a great bike that nothing would even be needed to make it better. The R6 has gained recognition for being one of the best 600cc race bikes, so maximum performance should be expected from this motorbike. Yamaha is famed for making some of the best classic race bikes for sale, and the R6 is no exception.
Competition
The majority of sports motorbikes are produced in Japan. For 2010, all the top Japanese bike manufacturers announced their lineups for 2010, from mini dirt bikes to huge racing bikes. The Honda CBR received strange color schemes, but the performance remained largely the same. With the strange graphics aside, the CBR is the closest competitor to the R6, although the R6 is still able to beat it on several levels. Other worthy competitors may include race bikes by Suzuki and Kawaski, whom both received attractive new color schemes as upgrades.
Exterior
If you are a Yamaha racing bike fan, you probably know the white/blue color scheme that is used for their MotoGP racing team. For riders who want a simpler design, the Pearl White/Raven is an excellent choice. However, the classic raven/orange scheme is not available anymore for the R6. Nobody knows why Yamaha decided to ditch the rave/orange color, especially since they did not replace it with a new scheme. Some suspect that they did not want the bike to look like the Honda CBR, which also has the same color coding available. The CBR and R6 are already mixed up a lot by amateur riders, so Yamaha may be trying to set their bike apart.
